Dr. James Swan (quality expert and master taste judge), Bill Rankin (world's leading distillery designer), Caroline Whitfield, C.E.O. (the idea originator, with extensive experience in food and drink, including as an advisor to Diageo Plc), Arthur Davies, Company Secretary (the man who helped start the first successful new distillery in Wales in 1999).

Forsyth's of Rothes are the Still designers and makers. A local firm of Shetland architects are working with Bill Rankin to create a distillery that builds on the best traditions blended with the unique heritage of Shetland. Her Majesty's Customs & Excise officially approved the team and plan in September 2002.
