NØRN Atlantic is an exquisite Scotch conceived, realised & blended in the Shetland Isles by our Master Distiller, Ian Millar. Our vision was to create a premium and remarkable blended whisky, hence the step up to 8 years in the cask and an indulgent balance of 50% malt to grain. Ian sourced particular premium casks that provided the precise qualities and notes that begin to define our Shetland spirits.

Master Distiller's notes

'Maturation has mostly been in American oak hence the lovely sweet toffee caramel flavour with light hints of fruitiness. And then there’s the pure Shetland Water that brings it to bottle strength. It’s a very smooth Whisky due to its age. We’re absolutely delighted with it.’

And those who’ve experienced it agree that it’s no ordinary Blended Scotch.

Nose

Mellow vanilla, toffee and caramel notes with hints of fruitiness, reminiscent of toffee apples, all very typical from American white oak.

Palete

Smooth with a creamy texture and a perfect balance of mellow vanilla, light dried fruits, and hints of citrus.

Finish

Medium length, delicate but lingering finish, lovely warm mouthfeel.
