Order Processing

Orders will be processed within 48 hours of being placed and ready to be shipped the following business day.

When ordering from Lerwick Distillery, please bear in mind we're located on a remote archipelago where the Atlantic Ocean meets The North Sea. While we're quick to process orders, it's not unknown for adverse weather to delay their departure from Shetland ahead of their 13 hour overnight journey by sea to mainland Scotland. It's just a way of life up here, the weather plays a big part.

Be assured, we'll do everything we can to keep you informed of your order's progress towards its final destination.

UK Shipping

UK shipping is free on orders over £99 or charged at a flat rate of £6.40 if below.

International Shipping

At present, we ship to the following countries:

• Australia
• Belgium
• Denmark
• Germany
• Ireland
• Netherlands
• New Zealand
• Norway
• Switzerland
  

Please allow extra time for shipping to the EU as, post-Brexit, as small delays in customs in your country of residence may occur.

US Shipping

We're delighted to now offer whisky shipping to the United States, in partnership with our US shipping and logistics partner, Deliver My Whisky (DMW).

• Shipping is charged at £64.95 for the first bottle, plus £29.95 for each additional bottle in the same order.
• Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska are charged at a 50% surcharge on the above rates, reflecting the additional logistics required to reach these states.
• All US shipping charges are converted to and displayed in US Dollars (USD $) at checkout, and include all applicable US customs and import duties - there is nothing further to pay on delivery. 

International Shipping Charges

International shipping charges are based on your address and the order’s weight and dimensions, which can be viewed at checkout.

International Customs & Import Duties

Please note, international shipping may be subject to customs, taxes or other fees as it arrives in the destination country.

For whisky orders shipped to the United States, customs duties and import taxes are already included in the shipping charge shown at checkout - see the US Shipping section above.

The recipient is solely responsible for the payment of all charges applied by your country's Customs office. Charges vary, so please contact your local Customs office for advice before ordering.
