An exquisite Speyside Single Malt secretively acquired & bottled at 60º North. This 2026 edition is a worthy successor to our releases of NØRN Genesis in 2024 and 2025 which hastily sold out to connoisseurs and collectors.

The name NØRN is the source of the distinctive, poetic dialect spoken in the Shetland Islands. The spirit with which we speak.

Genesis, an exceptionally rich, smooth 12 year old Speyside Single Malt Scotch. Our Master Distiller, Ian Millar, had his sights set on acquiring a particular batch, matured separately in a much sought after European Oak, Sherry Barrique cask and an American ex Bourbon cask.

Over 12 years the distinctive, smaller Sherry Barrique provides a far more intense maturation. Added complexity comes from the American Oak. Combined with crisp, pure Shetland Spring Water it’s remarkable.

Genesis absolutely fulfils our vision to craft a Whisky inspired by the unique spirit of Shetland. It’s a must-have for the connoisseur or collector.

"Genesis is big in flavour, depth and complexity with a long finish, influenced by both the European oak and the resident Sherry in the wood.

I enjoy it at bottle strength ,47%, but it improves for me slightly with a couple of drops of water; warm the glass in your hands to get greater aroma and flavour.”"

Nose

A generous hit of spice, a brown sugar background, and a subtle aroma of cinnamon, citrus and dried raisins. A hint of light Christmas cake.

Palate

Savour that bold spicy hit, then the vanilla, dried fruits, and more than a hint of zesty citrus.

Finish

The rich spicy depth provides a long, lingering and memorable finish. A few drops of water will give you so much more from this ‘one off’ bottling.
